I was spellbound by China tourist attractions which have splendid painted decoration on the grand and deluxe halls of royal architectural wonders. On a tour of the amazing Yangtze, I witnessed the natural picturesque scenery and also experienced some ancient cultural heritage which had a touch of humanity and beauty. I quite liked the Dragon Pavilion (Long Ting) which is a regal hall found to the northwest of the city of Kaifeng. It derives its name from two dragons playing with a pearl which are carved on a plaque on the pavilion. I was amazed that they had built it on a thirteen-meter high marble terrace. |
