As a childrens author, illustrator, poet, songwriter, screenwriter, playwright and Oscar nominee, Shel Silverstein was truly one of a kind. His work entertained and amused both children and adults.

To celebrate Silversteins life and work, HarperCollins Childrens Books has released special anniversary editions of four of his books: A Light in the Attic (HarperCollins Childrens Books, $17.99), Falling Up (HarperCollins Childrens Books, $17.99), The Missing Piece (HarperCollins Childrens Books, $15.99) and The Missing Piece Meets the Big O (HarperCollins Childrens Books, $15.99).

The two poetry collections, Falling Up and A Light in the Attic, showcase Silversteins gifts for absurdity and profundity, with memorable characters and hilarious rhymes. The Missing Piece and The Missing Piece Meets the Big O are classic modern-day fables, showcasing the importance of self-awareness and finding your inner strength.

In addition, the special 25th anniversary edition of A Light in the Attic comes with a bonus two-sided poster featuring a collage of favorite characters from Silversteins collected works--works that have sold over 20 million hardcover copies in the U.S. alone and have been translated into more than 30 languages.
