Whats more you will be left with the ultimate everlasting romantic memory. There are probably lots of ideas you and your partner can come up with on your own for this day, however, I have made a brief outline of some of them to help you on your way. VOWS: You can write your own romantic vows or poems to read through the ceremony. Some people find this more challenging than others. I dont think that asking for a little help is cheating, but going online and having someone write them for you would be I think INVITATIONS: Style your invitations so that they represent Valentines cards! Use embossed card, made to picture things like cupids playing in the clouds, love hearts and roses Write your invitations as a poem, using intricate gold lettering Attach imitation roses to the cards front cover WEDDING FAVOURS: Give each guest a single silk red rose Place some Jordan Almonds in decorated heart shaped boxes For a personal touch, you can make your own heart shaped cookies, dipped in icing and decorated with your initials You can buy all sorts of other Valentines related merchandise like heart letter openers, heart shaped sugar candy in a tube and hand crafted wooden roses ENTERTAINMENT: Hire a harpist to create that special ambience during your ceremony For the day time, hire either an acoustic guitarist or a soloist to play or sing your favourite love songs For something a little more formal in the day time, hire a string quartet or an Italian opera singer If youre hiring a DJ for the evening, make a play list full of love songs DECORATIONS: Name your tables after famous romantic couples real or fictional Decorate the venue (If they allow) with as many candles as you can If the candles are not an option, try using fairy lights Use heart shaped confetti Decorate the room for the evening with heart shaped/ personalised balloons THE CAKE: Chocolate springs to mind and lots of it I think it goes without saying that a heart shaped cake is best Plenty of red icing Lots of hearts, roses, doves and cupids THE ARRIVAL: A horse drawn carriage White limousine Feeling brave? Arrive on horse back (With side saddle for the lady) FLOWERS: Use red roses as table centre pieces Crystal bouquets for the bride and the bridesmaids Use roses as button holes instead of gerberas or carnations These are just a few of the many ways in which you can make the perfect Valentines Wedding. Between the two of you, Im sure you will find ways in which to add your own personal touches. |
