As far as anyone knows, the first woman to play professional Poker was Alice Ivers, soon to be known as Poker Alice, a legendary figure of the Old Wild West. Since then, many women have proven themselves skilled and competitive players, none more so than Saigon-born Karina Jett, who came to this country from Vietnam at the age of two with her parents, who decided to settle in Las Vegas. Karinas interest in Poker grew through watching her card game loving parents. When she was old enough to play in the casinos of her home town, Karina soon developed the skills and polish to move into Tournament competition. Her skillful play has enabled her to successfully compete in major Tournaments all over the world. Karina Jett has made the final table in many of these Tournaments, including the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Ladies Event Las Vegas at the Los Angeles Poker Classic in Commerce, California, the World Poker Finals in Ledyard, Connecticut, Late Ultimate Poker Challenge in Las Vegas, Night Poker, Cardiff, Wales and UK, and Four Queens Classic in Las Vegas. Incidentally, Karina met and married crackerjack Poker pro Chip Jett in 2001.
