He was born in Hull England on January 4th, 1954 and enjoyed card playing with his friends and family from an early age. David instinctively adopted the strategies, cunning and aggressive play that he was to bring to maturity as a professional player. David Ulliot first won a World Series of Poker Bracelet in 1997, scoring a stunning upset victory over Men The Master Nguyen in Pot Limit Holdem. Ulliot plays em and beats em all over the world, winning Tournaments in the United States and in many countries in Europe thus far totaling eighty-seven in all. In fact, he has earned over one million dollars in World Series of Poker Tournaments but has not as yet won a second bracelet. Maybe Davids fierce approach to his games lies in the fact that he has a lot of mouths to feed back home in his native England a wife and seven children, to be exact! He does own a jewelry shop back in Hull where he still resides but with seven children, their clothing and their educational needs, it takes the kind of money won in Poker Tournaments to meet all those needs. And David is making that kind of money. When he won his bracelet in the 1997 Tourney, he took home a tidy $180,310. The following year, he was in second place in the same tourney and won $150,480. Ulliot was a winner in the January 2002 Third Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open Pot Limit Omaha Event, taking the first place prize of $123,772. The year 2003 saw David pocket $589,175 in the $10,000 buy-in No Limit Holdem Main Event. As of late, The Devilfish has cashed in on three events which included $232,205 won for placing third in the $1,500 No Limit Holdem WSOP Event. A colorful character, to say the least, David Ulliot can be conservative in dress with a dark suit, white shirt and tie and dark glasses or he be wild wearing a Dirty Dealer tank top, orange tinted glasses and two large rings on each hand which together speall out Devilfish.
