Cyndys family moved to Las Vegas when she was 12 years old and she began playing cards at home with her uncle. Her first casino play occurred when she was pregnant with her daughter, Shannon. She spent some time dealing poker and blackjack and entered her first tournament in 1984, winning a Golden Nugget Seven Card Stud Tournament. Her prize was $74,000 which was the most money ever won by a woman at that time. After marrying her second husband, she took a brief hiatus from the game but her love for poker and a tournament win at Caesars Palace in 1990 brought her back into the fold. After a few years, her marriage ended in divorce and Cyndy Violette was back full time into poker play with a vengeance. She is well known among players who have been around for awhile and has only recently received her well deserved recognition from newer players and poker fans. Since she is so attractive, her appearance is often commented upon as one of the hottest females in poker. Cyndys favorite games are Seven Card Stud and Texas Holdem Poker. Cyndy Violette is also unusual in that she is a vegetarian and has a regular work out schedule about which she is serious. Like so many other players who bring their lucky objects along with them to games, Cyndy has her spirit stones for accompaniment. Her future plans include opening a bookstore and vegetarian caf in Las Vegas. Cyndy, who some say is a Meg Ryan lookalike, is a former Playmate. She has been signed up along with former model Cindy Margolis to star in a new tv poker reality show. They will be competing with Average Joes in poker games across the United States. Cyndys most recent wins: - 2005 World Series of Poker Limit Holdem 7th place - $44,820 - 2005 WSOP No Limit Holdem 2nd place - $295,970 - 2005 WSOP Shorthanded (6/table) No Limit Holdem 20th - $8,825 - 2005 WSOP No Limit Holdem 5th place - $6,360 - WPT Specials Ladies Night II 5th place n/a She holds a WSOP bracelet which she won in 2004 playing Seven Stud Hi Low.
