Directors, unhappy about being left out, have petitioned the service to include them in the shipping carton, so they can point out their contributions to the show while fans watch it. It remains to be determined how many subscribers will opt for the service, primarily due to the fact that its usually difficult to determine how many people will do anything before they have the opportunity to do it and, secondarily, to the fact that, while the average flick rents for about five bucks a pop, shipping charges for NetPlay vary from between $1,000 and $10,000 per show, depending, of course, on the size of the cast. |
