From Ngong Ping one can head towards Tung Chung Valley to view Hong Kong’s second highest mountain, Lantau Peak. The route towards Lantau Peak has a lot of natural woodland with hillside streams. In these streams one will find a lot of dragonflies, freshwater fish and even a few rare amphibians. In the upper valley one will find woodland and birds. To have a good view of Hong Kong International Airport one can stop for a while at the Po Lam Monastery at Tei Tong Tsai on the way to Lo Hon Temple. The Lo Hon Temple built by lay Buddhists opens from 8am to 4 pm. |
