The German fans were very satisfied when they saw since the beginning of the match that their team was giving their best with an early lead over the Ecuadorians. This match got Germany the first place for the Group A, with Ballacks performance putting a perfect ball to Kolse who took advantage and scored the second goal. Germanys presence on the field during the second half was total, but even though, Ecuador lost the match the team achieved second place of the group. Both teams are waiting the matches between England - Switzerland and Trinidad and Tobago Paraguay, to know who are going to be their opponents in round of sixteen. Those matches will take place on June 24th and 25th. As everybody knows Germany is a rock-solid soccer team getting second place at Korea-Japan World Cup in 2002, Germany is fighting this time to reach the title for world championshipGood Luck Germany! |
